The U.S. should not have signed the Kyoto Treaty.

Prior to signing the Senate had voted overwhelmingly (over 90 votes) to oppose the measure as it was negotiated. Clinton ignored the advise of the Senate, knowing full well he'd never get the consent.

The carbon tax system would be more effective at reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

The carbon tax would be simpler, but I question the need for either. How about issuing more nuclear power licenses instead?

To the extent global warming will be a problem at some point down the road, faster technological progress and economic growth now will do more to provide tools to deal with it effectively than taking ...
