Before the 2008 NFL season began, members on WhereIstand collected the predictions of 40 sports media personalities for which teams would win each of the eight NFL divisions. The predictions were then categorized and ranked based on their accuracy. Teams were awarded points based on their division standing: 1st place teams received 6 points and trailing teams were given points based on how many games back they were in the division*. After 17 weeks, here is the complete report on the accuracy for each of the sports public figure's picks, ranked 1 - 40.

*Statistical Method
Scores are based on the NFL standings at the end of the week 17. Picks for a first place team
netted 6 points; points for second, third, fourth and
fifth place teams are weighted on a scale of depreciating value based
on how many games back they finished from first place. Teams that tied for the same record received the same number of points except when they are tied for the division lead (see AFC East and AFC West) . Rankings are
based on the accumulative scores of each prediction (one per
division) picked by each individual. To see what each team is valued
at, see below (points are in parenthesis)
AFC NFC
East North South West East North South West
Dolphins 11-5 (6) Steelers 12-4 (6) Titans 13-3 (6) Chargers 8-8 (6) Giants 12-4 (6) Vikings 10-6 (6) Panthers 12-4 (6) Cardinals 9-7 (6)
Patriots 11-5 (5) Ravens 11-5 (5) Colts 12-4 (5) Broncos 8-8 (5) Eagles 9-7-1 (3) Bears 9-7 (5) Falcons 11-5 (5) 49ers 6-10 (3)
Jets 9-7 (4) Browns 4-12 (0) Texans 8-8 (1) Raiders 5-11 (3) Cowboys 9-7 (2) Packers 6-10 (2) Bucs 9-7 (3) Seahawks 4-12 (1)
Bills 7-9 (2) Bengals 4-11-1 (0) Jaguars 5-11 (0) Chiefs 2-14 (0) Redskins 8-8 (2) Lions 0-16 (0) Saints 8-8 (2) Rams 2-14 (0)
Tiebreaker: First place team with the most losses is ranked behind team with less losses (ex. Person A and Person B have identical picks except in the AFC North, where Person A had Bengals (11 losses) and Person B had Browns (12 losses). Person A would be ranked ahead).
