NASA should complete construction of the International Space Station. Space research is one of the more important issues of this century.
Ghosts do not exist. I assume we talk about reality... They do exist in fiction, in minds of people, in stories, TVs etc.
Viruses are not alive. That is a tough one. However, viruses do not have their own metabolism, so I cannot classify them as living beings.
The Earth is several billion years old. According to what we know.
Doctors and researchers should decide whether embryonic stem cells may be used for medical research. This should not be a government issue.
Scientists should pursue embryonic stem cell research. In a conflict of religion and science, I take the side of science.
There are no legitimate, scientific, and peer-reviewed "alternatives" to evolution. "Scientific" is the key here.
The Large Hadron Collider will discover the existence of unknown particles. Or at least, I hope so.
Humans should colonize the moon. And Mars, Alpha Centauri and anything else we can get to.
The federal government should not subsidize the creation of new stem cell lines. The government should not subsidize anything. However, they should not put roadblocks for organizations that want to create new stem cell lines either.
Animal cloning should be allowed. Since I believe human cloning should be allowed, it makes sense to believe animal cloning should be allowed as well.
Human cloning should be allowed. Since I do not understand why not, my default answer is yes...
The use of nuclear weapons can be justified. A weapon is a weapon. "Conventional" bombing of Tokyo in 1945 left over 100,000 dead; the Hiroshima explosion took 66,000 lives. And yet it was mainly the atomic bomb that convinced Japanese to surrender. Since the nuclear weapon was both more humane and
Theories that no conceivable experiment can confirm should not be rejected outright. The standard scientific method postulates that a scientific theory must be falsifiable, and not confirmable. That is, all propositions for which there is no experiment that could invalidate it are not scientific theories. As a matter of fact, most (or eve
