Google should attempt to acquire Twitter. At the current Twitter valuation (they sold something a small part of equity for $25 million), I dont really think it would be a wise investment for Google to buy em at that price. Just will be very tough for Twitter to monetize without ruining the simple site architecture. Brian does bring up a good point about an expansion into realtime search though. If anyone could integrate it and make it profitable, Google could.
The Wall Street Journal has the best daily financial coverage.
Facebook merits a higher valuation than MySpace. but neither merit a very high valuation. so tough to effectively monetize.
The media does have a social responsibility to promote positive body images.
NBC's coverage of the 2008 Olympic Games was satisfactory.
Blogs are not credible sources of news. maybe i'm wrong but i thought, by definition, they aren't credible sources of news
Advertisements cannot have artistic value.
I know about RSS reader but choose not to use it.
Bloggers should be held responsible for comments posted on their blogs by others. the blogger is the editor/owner of the site, he/she should be responsible for directing the discussion...
The Wall Street Journal should move to a free online model.
XM and Sirius satellite radio should be allowed to merge. im pretty sure they are still both not profitable yet, a merger would get them to financial viability. also, this wouldnt be a monopoly as they compete with other forms of media, traditional radio, ipod, etc
Internet gambling should not be banned. regulated and taxed, but not banned...poker should certainly not be banned as it is not technically "gambling"
