Racial profiling by the arresting officer was a factor in the arrest of Henry Louis Gates, Jr. Absolutely yes, by the officer. Did Gates act inappropriate? Very probably, however his behavior did not legally warrant an arrest and the officer was out of line.

I have smoked marijuana.

Racial discrimination is still a significant problem in America. Anyone who believes otherwise has their head buried in something.

If a new President wants to reference God that is his/her option and does not offend or please me. Personal belief should not be an issue for us as citizens.

Consumption of alcohol is not immoral. Common myth....Jesus turned water into wine at a wedding. I am fairly certain that wine is alcohol and he didn't do it just for good looks!

As a victim of a violent crime committed by minors I know how wrenching it can be to watch young people led away under adult sentences. I also know though they are capable of decisions that are horrific in their consequences, such as the violent attempt

Adult children should not be legally responsible for the care of aging parents. Morally responsible, certainly this is always the truth. Legally responsible, no absolutely not.

Scientists should experiment on animals. Under humane conditions and only where no other option exists.

Dogs should be used to control prisoners.

The Catholic Church should deny communion to members who are pro-choice. The Church states clearly their stand on Abortion.

There is equality among those in Heaven. If one believes in Heaven than there must be equality among those who arrive.

Political asylum should be given to those facing persecution for being homosexual.
