Opinions
Doctors and researchers should decide whether embryonic stem cells may be used for medical research.
Animal cloning should be allowed. All medical and scientific advances should be encouraged.
Congress should fund NASA's program to track potentially hazardous asteroids and comets.
Humans will never travel through time.
Humans will never travel faster than the speed of light.
The Large Hadron Collider will discover the existence of unknown particles.
Viruses are alive.
Ghosts do not exist.
Environmental factors have a greater influence on human behavior than innate qualities.
Emotions are contagious.
Humans should not colonize the moon.
It should be legal for scientists to develop genetically modified human embryos.
A belief in natural selection does not require a belief in evolution.
The U.S. should invest less in its space program. The space program, for now needs to take a backseat to other more pressing problems. This isn't a "forever" answer simply a "right now" answer.
The use of nuclear weapons cannot be justified.
Adult stem cells have the same medical potential as embryonic stem cells. There is compelling research that seems to indicate that this is so.
A large ego is necessary to being a successful politician. Without it one can't survive the constant onslaught of negative commentary and media attacks.
There are no alternate universes.
Humans will not make contact with intelligent extraterrestrial life.
Psychologists should not be able to prescribe medication.
Human beings are still evolving.
Patents should be issued for living organisms. Virus' are living organisms, this is one example of why a patent might be required.
The Earth is several billion years old.
There are no legitimate, scientific, and peer-reviewed "alternatives" to evolution.
There is no intelligent life on other planets.
Saving existing life is more important than protecting potential life.
Theories that no conceivable experiment can confirm should not be rejected outright.
There are no legitimate, scientific, and peer-reviewed criticisms of evolution.
Humans should travel through time. If only. There are so my diverse considerations that would need to be taken on though. Likely a bad idea, but I still have to say yes.
Human cloning should not be allowed. not today with our current capabilities and knowledge of the science.
Research published in peer-reviewed scientific journals is reliable. As a starting point it is. This is not the end all be all of research and should not be considered so. However, it should not be discounted.
Scientists should pursue embryonic stem cell research.
The federal government should subsidize the creation of new stem cell lines.
NASA should not complete construction of the International Space Station. As with all other frivolous and non-essential government spending put this program on hold for now. There are far more critical uses.
The US should not intervene with nuclear programs in other countries. Through diplomacy and our relations with NATO we should work to ensure balance. Where appropriate we should only intervene with the full support of NATO and the UN. On our own, NO.
The U.S. should build more nuclear power plants.
NASA should not focus on manned space flight. NASA should focus on discovery both manned and unmanned. It is ridiculous to believe that only manned space flight will provide us information.
