I support President Obama's message to the Muslim world. Not surprisingly, Obama handled this tremendously.
Timothy Geithner should remain Secretary of the Treasury. I am not going to say I don't think the fact that he didn't pay taxes is weird. It certainly is. But short of that, he is the most competent Secretary of the Treasury we have seen in years. He is an academic economist by training.
I support President Obama's plan to raise taxes on households earning over $250,000 a year.
Rush Limbaugh will never run for political office. Unless he is asking to lose...
President Obama's outlook on the economy has been neither too optimistic nor pessimistic.
The U.S. embargo on Cuba has not been effective.
'Waterboarding' should be characterized as torture.
The Guantanamo detention center should be closed.
Social Security should not include private retirement accounts.
The U.S. military should increase troop levels in Afghanistan.
The Patriot Act is not constitutional.
The U.N. should not impose sanctions on Iran.
The government that governs least does not govern best.
Republicans are more responsible for the federal deficit than Democrats. For the deficit, yeah I'd have to go w/ the Republicans...
The Republican Party platform was the primary cause of their losses in the 2006 and 2008 elections. Trying to be the party of the people while concurrently caring only about big business and the rich has finally come back to haunt them.
Ronald Reagan was one of the worst presidents. I think this nation needs to get over their reverence of Reagan.
Rod Blagojevich was at the center of the worst political scandal of 2008.
Governor Blagojevich should have been arrested on conspiracy and bribery charges. What a scum-bag
President Obama should appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Bush Administration policies. Absolutely--what would happen if it was the other way around? The investigation would have been long underway
Barack Obama's election does represent the fulfillment of Martin Luther King Jr.'s 'dream.'
The boos for President Bush at Barack Obama's inauguration were appropriate.
President Obama's inauguration speech was good. He's had better speeches but still good.
Rush Limbaugh's comments about "wanting President Obama to fail" were appropriate. Obviously--do we expect Mr. Limbaugh to be anything but inappropriate? Of course he wants him to fail--he wants to keep his own job!
President Obama should loosen restrictions on federally funded embryonic stem cell research.
President Obama should push towards a bipartisan approach to governing. Unfortunately the other party has a hard time with that one...
Judd Gregg's withdrawal will have no effect on the Obama Administration. I think it has a far bigger effect on Republicans--showcases their inability to work across party lines
Senator Roland Burris should resign.
President Obama will be a two-term president. Go Obama!
It is not appropriate to label the situation in the Palestinian territories a crime of apartheid.
Democrats should reject Rod Blagojevich's appointment of Roland Burris to the U.S. Senate.
Military experience is not an important qualification for the presidency.
George W. Bush was one of the worst presidents ever.
Sarah Palin will run for president in 2012. Though unlikely will get the nomination.
Obama's campaign was the most significant factor contributing to his election victory. This is a tough one--though I go w/ his own campaign because throughout the campaign though I had my worries I believed he would make the best possible moves. And apparently he did.
Race had no impact on Barack Obama's election victory. I think that there were positives and negatives and that the two probably canceled themselves out. Yes it brought in voters but it also undoubtedly led to people not voting for him for those very same reasons--even if those people did not admit it.
Hillary Clinton would not have beaten John McCain by a wider margin than Barack Obama. Though who can be sure. After all, McCain would likely not have picked Palin were Clinton the candidate.
Voter expectations will positively affect Barack Obama's presidency. This is one of the many good things about Obama winning--there is no option for him other than to keep his promises (to the best of his ability). Plus, voter expectations are well aligned with the reality of what he hopes to do. But in case he steps off t
Barack Obama's 30-minute primetime TV spot will have a positive effect on his candidacy. It was awesome---and I'm already sold
It is not possible for an openly non-religious candidate to win a U.S. presidential election. Probably not
General election debates should include third party candidates.
