I have received/will receive the swine flu vaccination.
I use homeopathic remedies. For some things, I think they can work wonders. I'd still want antibiotics for sinus and ear infections, etc.
I have not had my teeth whitened by a dentist.
I worry about growing older.
The FDA should not prohibit gay and bisexual men from donating blood. Blood going into the system for donation should be tested for all known blood-related diseases anyway before receiving approval for use. This particular prohibition doesn't do anything. Not to mention, the whole system is based on the "honor code". I'm sure there are tons of heterosexual men and women who may have had a one-time sexual encounter with a homosexual or bisexual man and answer "no" when asked so they can freely donate. However, the current prohibition calls for NOT donating if a person has ever had ANY TYPE of sexual encounter with a homosexual man... even once. The prohibition is an ineffective way to promote healthy blood donation and likely leads to denial and ignorance in most cases.
Il y a des avantages à boire du vin rouge.
Animals do have souls.
Public schools should administer pneumonia vaccinations. Many schools require MMR (mumps, measles, rubella) vaccinations. Pneumonia seems to be the MMR of the 21st century, so I don't see why requirements and programs for administering these vaccines aren't in place yet.
Children diagnosed with pneumonia should be required to receive medical clearance before they can return to school.
The "World Pneumonia Day" campaign will help decrease pneumonia rates. I think people tend to forget how serious a threat pneumonia is in so-called "developing countries". Just look at how many people donate money to combat malaria nowadays.
I would not consider non-pharmaceutical treatments if diagnosed with pneumonia. Generally speaking, my body only responds to "natural" and holistic treatments when I have a minor health issue. Most types of pneumonia are dangerous beasts. Personally, I'd rather avoid ending up in a hospital for a week (and potentially catching something worse while there) because I waited it out. SHUT-'ER-DOWN!
Drinking in moderation is not a viable treatment for alcoholism.
"Third-hand smoke" is not a viable concern.
Media coverage of the swine flu outbreak has been overblown.
The outbreak of the influenza virus (Swine flu) in Mexico will become an international pandemic.
Les États-Unis ne sont pas prêts en cas d’une pandémie de grippe. Then again... how exactly does any country prepare for a viral outbreak if the strain keeps changing?
Meditation does improve your health.
Scientists will not find a vaccine for the common cold.
Healthcare reform is directly related to improving the U.S. economy.
Pope Benedict's comments about condoms increasing the problem of AIDS in Africa were not accurate.
There are persuasive non-religious reasons for male circumcision.
Brushing your tongue does help prevent bad breath.
Health insurance should cover laser eye surgery. It's a quality of life thing and in the same vein as contact lenses and glasses. Things that can be deemed as necessary expenses. Why would they potentially cover lenses and glasses for a person's entire life but not at least a portion of a one-time surge
Les femmes enceintes devraient arrêter de boire de l’alcool pendant la grossesse.
Alli (orlistat) is not an effective weight loss pill. Orlistat supposedly works by blocking fat absorption when ingested before eating a high-fat meal. If weight is an issue, how about just substituting the fried foods and whole dairy products for baked foods and low-fat / non-fat dairy products? The results
Employer health care plans should offer equivalent benefits for both mental health and physical conditions.
Low-carb diets are not an effective method of losing weight. Not for the long-term, at least.
Television ads do not contribute to childhood obesity. I'm glad economists are commenting on the fact that television ads may contribute to childhood obesity, rather than the cost of healthier food options and parents or schools teaching kids about healthier eating. There's plenty of blame to go around, but l
Obesity should not be classified as a disability. I'm well aware that there's a great deal of discrimination towards people who are categorically obese. However, classifying it as a disability would entitle this group of people to a wide array of things that are absolutely unnecessary in helping their co

Tap water should be fluoridated.
Les normes d'examens alimentaires ne sont pas efficaces aux Etats Unis.
L’addiction est une maladie. And just like many other diseases, there isn't always a perfect one "cure" fits all.
Viagra should not be available over-the-counter.
Plan B should not be available over-the-counter to women under the age of 18. The reason I think Plan B should not be available over-the-counter under the age of 18 is because OTC purchases do not require drug counseling on post-use or side effects. I have no problem if Plan B was available to girls under 18 at places like Planned
Nous ne devrions pas imposer un impot sur la nourriture malsaine. The government can't even regulate Financial Institutions correctly, which fell victim to a similar type of gluttony they'd be trying to prevent with this. Taxes on foods "deemed unhealthy" won't do anything other than give the government more funding to
The use of Bisphenol A in plastic bottles does pose a risk to human health. Most signs seem to say it's likely. If it's unnecessary to use BPA in plastic products, then why not be safer than sorry?
Organic milk is safer than regular milk. Personally, I favor organic products even without any concrete scientific evidence to prove that they are "safer" or "healthier" for human consumption.
Masturbation is healthy. I'm thinking this really wouldn't be a debate if not for the heavy religious connotations some put on sexual activity. Also, doctors and researchers are starting to find positive links between masturbation and various medical conditions, both physical an
