Dick Brooks - Should the government subsidize prescription drugs for seniors who cannot afford them?

So lets leave the seniors on their own to deal with these "big pharma that make out like bandits".Even with the little help from the major drug companies there are seniors who can not afford the prescriptions they need and have to choose between food or their health.I can not think of why helping a fellow humane being is such a terrible idea.We subsidize farmers,oil companies and we just gave money to Bear Sterns,who now seems to have done some dirty dealings.We send money to Africa.Any nation that needs assistance.But to help our own is asking to much. Than should they be allowed to purchase their drugs from Canada where they are cheaper?Or is that also asking to much?
