Homosexuality is not a choice. this kind of ignorance, fueled by religion, fear mongering, and misinformation has got to be stopped. but how do you get people who don't believe in evolution to evolve?
Minors should be exempt from the death penalty. the death penalty is barbaric and should be abolished. it does not prevent violent crime, and it diminishes the humanity of any culture which employs it.
The death penalty is not an effective crime deterrent. that is why every civilized nation in the world, with the exception of us, has done away with it.
Drugs should be legalized. our Draconian drug laws simply do not serve us. any time we declare "war" on anything in america, it is like throwing gasoline on a fire. legalize them, educate people with good information about the dangers of drug use, invest in treatment programs rather than imprisoning addicts and users, tax them, and take the power out of the hands of the black market.
Schools should not teach Intelligent Design as a scientific theory. Intelligent Design is not science, and it's entire premise cannot withstand the scrutiny of the scientific method. Science and belief in God are not mutually exclusive. Can one not believe that God created man through a process called evolution, much the same as a sculptor creates his work of art?
The Pledge of Allegiance should not include the phrase "under God" for other reasons. imagine there's no countries. it isn't hard to do. nothing to kill or die for. and no religion too....
Monogamy is not natural. and it's not much fun either
