Columbus Day should be celebrated as an official holiday. So I can get off from school
Racism has not played a role in opposition to Barack Obama.
The U.S. should not suspend military aid to Israel.
Sarah Palin should pursue political office again.
Hezbollah should be recognized as a terrorist organization.
Mitt Romney has the best chance at becoming the Republican Party's presidential nominee in 2012. Most likely...
The Israeli/Palestinian peace process would be more effective without the intervention of foreign nations. It can't be decided by people who are not involved. Foreign nations complicate things usually, rather than help.
Israel should support the creation of a Palestinian state. If both sides have good intentions, then they can live side-by-side in peace.
Infidelity should not be grounds for a politician's removal from office. Then we'd have no politicians...maybe that's a good thing? Infidelity in what regard? Cheating on one's spouse or screwing over the American people? Either one works I guess.
The Obama Administration should not issue a statement of support to the Iranian election uprising. No way. The Obama admin should sit back, relax, and let the truth unfold. If the elections were rigged, then the whole world will see it and will not be blinded by any possible belief that American propaganda is making this story up. If it is not rigged, then the US will look good in the fact that it did not preemptively falsely accuse Iran over rigged elections. Either way, being a spectator pays off. If the US does not intervene, it's a win-win situation.
The international community should not recognize the Iranian election results. It's not that I am so extremely opposed to recognizing the results, but rather I cannot bring myself to say "yes." There is something suspicious about the entire process. From possible bribes right before the election, to counting millions of votes INSANELY quickly. Something fishy is going on in Iran, and the protesters seem to know that they are being treated unfairly and undemocratically by their "elected" government.
Elected officials should be allowed to change their political affiliation between elections. As long as their stands are what people believed they are.
North Korea should be on the U.S. government's "State Sponsors of Terrorism" list.
Guantanamo Bay detainees should be moved to U.S. prisons.
The U.S. should not engage in bilateral talks with North Korea.
Bill O'Reilly should not bear responsibility for the murder of Dr. Tiller.
Sonia Sotomayor is a good choice to replace Justice Souter.
Barack Obama is qualified to be President of the United States.
The Obama Administration will have no impact on the Middle East peace process. ...Just like every other outside leader who has tried to solve the problems. I don't see the logic of governments of other countries on the other side of the world solving issues it has never itself experienced. I understand the effort and realize that it will most likely always continue, however it will probably always fail.
President Obama should not release new photos depicting U.S. detainee abuse. It will only worsen the situation and make the US look horrible. "It is better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are an idiot, then to open your mouth and prove them right."
Veterans should receive subsidized medical care in any medical facility.
Gen. Eric Shinseki was a good choice for Secretary of Veterans' Affairs.
Arlen Specter's switch to the Democratic Party will have a positive effect on his reelection campaign.
Arlen Specter's switch to the Democratic Party will have a negative effect on the GOP.
Assault weapons should be illegal. yes of course
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine should be considered a terrorist group.
The government of Pakistan was not involved in the November 2008 attacks in Mumbai. i would hope not
The U.S. should export mercury.
Santa Cruz should not become an independent state. ha
The cease-fire in Lebanon will not maintain peace in the region. is there ever peace there
The UN should not employ private contractors for humanitarian missions.
The U.S. should not pledge funding to Lebanon.
Private sellers at gun shows should be required to do background checks. yes yes yes
Regulations discussed at the G-20 meetings will prevent future global financial crises. Hopefully
The U.S. should not have diplomatic relations with Venezuela. I want to say yes, but some major changes in Venezuela need to occur before the US can have diplomatic relations with them.
Commercial vessels should be allowed to keep firearms onboard their ships.
The Justice Department should prosecute the captured Somali pirate in a U.S. Court.
Rush Limbaugh is not the most powerful person in the Republican Party.
Congress should investigate the Bush Administration's interrogation policies.
Fox News' coverage of the Tea Party protests is not appropriate. But neither were the lack of coverage by other news stations.
