We have oil. We need oil. The bigger question is what are we doing to lessen the amount of oil needed to run our country. When are we increasing public transit, banning SUVs, and eliminating our endless and mostly unnecessary use of plastic? These would only make slight differences and we all know how we need to be more eco-logical. However, everything begins with baby-steps and I think it's more than clear that it is past due time to begin taking those steps.

Viewing a movie can be quite costly, especially if something one enjoys to do often. To allow babies and small children into movies that are not made for small children will ruin the movie for all movie-goers, other than the parents. Well-behaved children will just have to do without for the sake of all consumers.

We need to slowly transition into private retirement accounts. Although we have disabled people to care for also, there is no way the working class can possibly pay for everyone to safely grow old by Social Security alone, especially with so many illegal immigrants receiving government assistance.

What is important is ensuring that the next generation is aware of the risks that come with sex. There should be a horrific semester of studying wretched STDs by images and understanding the damage an unplanned pregnancy can have on the life of an unsuspecting person. Earth will do as Earth will do. We need to account for naturally changing climates in the decisions we make as humans. But the infectious waste that we are to the planet has definately done a substantial amount of damage.
