HOF should take it, but the asterisk is childish

Gammons was a guest of The Herd with Colin Cowherd on Sept. 26. (filed under Peter Gammons, MLB, appears at the 5:30 mark)

Colin Cowherd: We had Mark Ecko on. He was sort of an interesting guy. He bought this baseball and he said 'fans, vote for want.' They voted to put an asterisk on it and the Hall of Fame has say, 'hey, we're non-profit, we'll take it'

What do you make of it?

Peter Gammons: Well I think the Hall of Fame should take the ball, but the asterisk is childish.
