Humans will never travel faster than the speed of light. Not gonna happen.
The U.S. should build more nuclear power plants. It beats the hell out of our current power sources. We need to move forward with this source.
NASA should not complete construction of the International Space Station. Let someone else finish it. NASA already spends too much.
Psychologists should be able to prescribe medication. Generally I would say no. If you want to prescribe medicine, you shouldn't have gone to shrink-school. However, having to send a psych patient over to their PCP is an unnecessary step that just ups the cost to the patient. (Only the pharma wins, their p
There is no intelligent life on other planets. No evidence yet, and probably never will be.
Scientists should pursue embryonic stem cell research. It could cure many horrible diseases, this research is a must. Consider it from an abortion standpoint - Instead of the fetus being thrown away after an abortion, use it for stem cell research so it could do -some- good instead of being discarded.
Saving existing life is more important than protecting potential life. The existing life can have a chance and creating potential life again. Whereas the potential life may or may not survive, and we risked the existing life on a long shot.
The shape of the Earth is round. There can't possibly be anyone that thinks otherwise....can there?
Doctors and researchers should decide whether embryonic stem cells may be used for medical research. If the doctors feel that it could cure degenerative diseases with embryonic stem cells, they have an obligation to use them in research.
Research published in peer-reviewed scientific journals is reliable. As long as the peer-reviewers are well educated there is no problem in trusting the authenticity of the research.
Adult stem cells do not have the same medical potential as embryonic stem cells. They have potential to help, but they are not as versatile as embryonic cells.
The use of nuclear weapons can be justified. It gets the job done.
The U.S. should invest less in its space program. We need to focus on fixing this planet first before we go muck up another. Especially since we spend billions to get a probe to mars and forget to pack a color camera.
Ghosts do not exist. Until Casper comes and slaps my face, ghosts are a figment of humans overactive imaginations.
Humans should not travel through time. It will never happen, but even if it did, the chances of someone screwing something up in a major way are far to great to risk it.
The federal government should subsidize the creation of new stem cell lines.
Human cloning should not be allowed.
It should be legal for scientists to develop genetically modified human embryos.
