Abstinence-only sex education should not be taught in schools.
The No Child Left Behind Act should be reauthorized.
Sex education should begin during elementary school (before 6th grade). I think you should teach it at various levels, obviously it's not detailed at the elementary level, but you should learn about social interaction, STDs (to a point), etc. In middle to high school is where you should learn all the specifics. Make more
Schools should punish students for not reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. The Pledge of Allegiance is a necessary part of our countries integrity. The "one nation under god" really doesn't apply to anyone's rights, considering that "god" means different things to different people. But, Allah, "God" (Christianity), Buddha, etc,
Standardized tests are not an effective tool for measuring student learning.
Private schools should not receive public funding. That's why they're private and are not held to the same laws as public schools. I believe that in the case of certain things maybe, but if you're a private school and you can't afford something, you're not a good school.
The No Child Left Behind Act has not been effective. Great idea, needs to be revised. Teachers and administrators need to understand it's not the kids fault, it's A: The parents (but being a product of your environment is such a cop out) or B: the teachers inability to work with kids.
It is not acceptable for courses on the Bible to be taught in public schools. Separation of Church and State? We live in a country where we say one thing and do another
