No, a person's sexual orientation is a private matter. If some narrow minded person has a problem with it, that's their problem and they will have to deal with it.

Gay public figures do not have a responsibility to disclose their sexual orientation.

UNLESS they are running for a position that is directly tied to their sexual orientation (ie: "GAY GOVERNOR" or maybe "Best LESBIAN LIBRARY") then perhaps, yes. Otherwise, no.
