If those prescription drugs are necessary for survival, yes. How can we call ourselves civilized if we say that a person's wealth should determine whether or not they are allowed to continue living?

Yes, it should be our charge as a nation to take care of the elderly. We will all be there one day and perhaps will face the same or similar problems (and in this current crisis, most definitely).
