High school students should be required to pass an exit exam in order to earn a diploma.

And they should do a lot better on that exam than simply qualifying for a diploma to have a shot at getting into a university.

When someone goes on to work or further education, they should be expected to know certain things. A diploma signifies a certain level of learning has been accomplished.

We throw midterms, exams, PSATs, SATs, Proficiency exams, graduation tests, and TNs at them already.

They already take enough exams on the classes they take. Plus, teachers are already forced to teach students how to pass the standardized tests, rather than actually teach the subject in a way that is...
