Barack Obama's remark about small-town voters was elitist.

Obama, the smooth egalitarian, revealed an ugly, elitist streak - and it didn't help that he handled the fallout with a decided lack of grace.

Obama, the smooth egalitarian, revealed an ugly, elitist streak - and it didn't help that he handled the fallout with a decided lack of grace.

From a New York Post Editorial:

Hillary Clinton's 10-point Pennsylvania primary win certainly will prolong the party's pain - but the six-week campaign also gave the nation its first real look at an unscripted Barack Obama.

It was no pretty picture: His "God and guns" gibe would've been jarring coming from any candidate for high office.

Obama, the smooth egalitarian, revealed an ugly, elitist streak - and it didn't help that he handled the fallout with a decided lack of grace.

Nor can he find it comforting that Clinton won Pennsylvania on Tuesday as she had Ohio earlier - by exposing his weaknesses on national security and foreign-policy-related matters.

In the closing days of each contest, her ads highlighted the importance of world affairs, then basically asked voters: Who do you trust to handle a crisis?

"Lack of Grace." That's ironic coming from the Post.
