Global warming cannot be stopped. We have other things to be spending money on right now. Global warming??? How about...jobs and debt reduction.
Car alarms should not be banned.
The U.S. government should provide incentives for manufacturers to build fuel-efficient cars. Only vehicles built in the US.
The U.S. government should increase the national gas mileage standard. And if US car manufacturers want to stay competitive, they better get on board!
The U.S. can meet all of its energy demands within 10 years through carbon-free sources. I think we could if we could get the damn government out of the way!
The U.S. Bureau of Land Management should not euthanize wild horses to curb overpopulation. No Way!!! Sell them, auction them relocate them.
The U.S. should permit commercial logging in national forests. Selective commercial logging helps stimulate new growth and reduces the risks of fires.
Global warming is not a problem primarily caused by humans; there is no conclusive evidence that the Earth is warming unnaturally.
The EPA does not effectively protect the environment. Too much politics involved.
Congress should lift the ban on offshore oil drilling.
The U.S. should expand oil and gas drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
Expanded ethanol production will have a negative overall impact on the environment. It will seriously impact our food supply. It is already responsible for higher meat and dairy prices.
The government should regulate greenhouse-gas emissions. No industry should be allowed to pollute our air.
Al Gore should not win the Nobel Peace Prize.
Expanded ethanol production will have a negative effect on the economy. It is pushing thecurrent price of food higher and puts out future food supplies at risk.
The federal government should not release oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. No we should not. We need to hang on to that. If we deplete our reserve we will be totally vulnerable to the oil barons such as Saudi Arabia.
Global warming is a problem that humans must take actions to address. There must be some balance and common sense.
The U.S. should allow drilling in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). We should drill on the White House lawn if that's where the oil is. Energy independence is the key.
It is inconclusive to say there is a link between global warming and the rising intensity of natural disasters. The earth has gone through many major weather changes over the years. To say that we fully understand every about how she works is arrogant.
Racism was not a factor whatsoever in the government's response to Katrina. Inept emergency response capabilities...yes. Racism....no.
