YouTube merits a higher valuation than Hulu. Being I have never heard of Hulu I have to go with YouTube.
The U.S. should enact the Free Flow of Information Act. No more secrets! The politicians and administration need to be held accountable for their decisions.
It is not appropriate for the President of the United States to make appearances on late night talk shows. I know he is trying to be the peoples President and seem approachable. Maybe I am old fashioned, but I would like to see him a little more regal. You don't see Queen Elizabeth doing late night. .
President Obama's Tonight Show appearance will have a positive effect on him politically. I think he is trying to be the "peoples" president. I don't know how I feel about that personally. He is the most powerful man in the world...I'm not sure how I like him out there acting like a mere mortal! I think most people will approve of it. He needs to be careful. The more public appearances he does like that, the more chance he has for a major unrecoverable screw up!
Web sites should not be held legally responsible for user-generated content. But personally....I will moderate and delete hate mongering or vulgar statements.
Jon Stewart's criticism of CNBC will not affect the way business news is covered. This is so ridiculous that we are even talking about this. Jon is a comedian.
Jon Stewart's criticism of CNBC was appropriate. Jon is a comedian. It's his job to criticize. With everything that is going on I am amazed that the main stream media ran with it. I'm sure Jon was please!!
Newspaper organizations are necessary to maintain journalistic standards.
Online news should not be free. Not necessarily. There should be some free news but if a company wants to present the news and then charge a subscription for it then they should be able to do that.
The New York Post's chimpanzee cartoon is not racist. It didn't even occur to me until the media ran with it!
Newspapers should not be publicly financed. They need to be unbiased. Public funding could be used as a lever to sway what editors publish.
American news media coverage of the Gaza Crisis has favored Israel.
The government should not provide financial assistance to the print journalism industry. Hell no. They don't really report the news as it is. If the feds give them money the only thing good to read in the paper will be the comics. I think it's a conflict of interest.
MSNBC is politically biased. Anymore...all news media is bias.
MySpace merits a higher valuation than Facebook.
Fox News is not "fair and balanced." I don't think any current news medium is fair a balanced. It's all "infotainment".
Political candidates should not allow the media to interview their young children.
Television news should not entertain as well as inform. It's news and should not be "infotainment".
Bloggers should be allowed to blog anonymously.
The use of the Internet has affected the English language.
The media does have a social responsibility to promote positive body images. Yes. It is dangerous to portray images of people (most of whom are airbrushed) as some unattainable goal to strive for. I am tired of the fashion industry and media telling me, what shoes to wear, how to look, how to do my hair, how much to weigh. It's al
Cindy McCain dresses better than Michelle Obama. Well....I'm sure this debate will solve some of the more important issues of our Nation. So I'm in... I'm sure they both have image consultants. I like Cindy McCain's classic style. Michelle Obama's style is loud for me.
States should charge sales tax for online purchases. Although I am very anti-tax. I think it is appropriate to charge sales tax for the state the item is sold from.
Blogs have a positive effect on politics. I think most blogs are no spin and have no agenda other than the bloggers opinion.
Advertisements can have artistic value. The damn Budweiser commercials make me cry. That 2008 Superbowl commercial was the best. It was very well done and as artistic and creative as most movies! Check it out! http://sports.aol.com/nfl/superbowlads?videoId=2065836
The New Yorker cover featuring Barack and Michelle Obama is effective satire. It's satire for crying out loud. When you venture into politics and the public eye...nothing is sacred!
Bloggers should not form a labor union. Oh Hell No!! What would be the purpose!!
Websites should allow anonymous comments.
The news media should not cover celebrities' personal lives. NO NO NO!!! How is B. Spears news. It's not news. It's entertainment. Put all that crap on a different show.
Blogs are credible sources of news. They are as accurate or inaccurate and bias or unbiased as CNN, Fox or any of the others.
The American news media did not appropriately handle coverage leading up to the war in Iraq. This new approach to news...."infotainment" discredits the news media and misinforms the public. They have an obligation to report the facts of the news. We don't need is sugar coated or dressed up to make it more interesting. Just the facts please!
The media is politically biased and generally leans to the Left. Right now they are definitely leaning left.
Dunkin' Donuts should not have pulled the ad featuring Rachel Ray. I saw the ad. This is getting freakin' ridiculous. I am getting tired of everyone trying to be so PC. It was a damn scarf. It not like she was wearing a hajib.
The Vanity Fair photos featuring Miley Cyrus were not appropriate. She's a 15 year old little girl!
There should not be legal protection for celebrities who are frequent paparazzi targets. It goes with the territory and some of them bring it on themselves. If the paparazzi break laws such as stalking or trespassing they should be prosecuted.
Don Imus' comments regarding the Rutgers women's basketball team do not warrant his termination.
American news media coverage of the Gaza Crisis has favored Israel.
