The number of cases of skin cancer is on the increase.They are
caused mainly by excessive exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
Such exposure is due to excessive and improper sunbathing.In
2002, 1901 cases of the serious form of skin cancer, malignant
melanoma, were diagnosed.It is therefore important to make
people more aware of the risks of sunbathing.
