There are no persuasive reasons why people should not eat meat.

A link between a diet containing meat and obesity (which DOES have health risks) is commonly cited, but correlation does not equal causation. Besides, there is a stronger link between high-fructose corn syrup and obesity. The body actually responds to protein (most commonly found in meat) significantly better than to carbohydrates.
