Michelle Obama dresses better than Cindy McCain.
States should not charge sales tax for online purchases.
Political candidates should allow the media to interview their young children. I don't approve, but it is their right to decide. But I don't approve of child stars either. I think there is a level of psychological preparedness needed for a spotlight, and most parents do not have the tools to provide that.
The decibel level of television commercials should be regulated. It's SOOOOO annoying!
Bloggers should be allowed to blog anonymously.
The FCC should not strengthen indecency rules regarding broadcast television.
Newspaper organizations are not necessary to maintain journalistic standards. According to a Journalist acquaintance who was a newscaster for over a decade, most of the writing and researching is done by the same people who are or have been in the paper industry as it is, and there will be no knowledge lost that they cannot pass on
The Wall Street Journal should move to a free online model.
Tim Russert's death did not merit the media coverage it received.
The U.S. should enact the Free Flow of Information Act. Hell yes. Frigging yeah. BIG TIME AGREEMENT HERE PEOPLE!
The American news media did not appropriately handle coverage leading up to the war in Iraq. I think they failed to dig into the issues hard enough, and firmly believe they accepted anything the White House said to solicit ratings on what was, at first, a somewhat popular strike so close to 9/11
Congress should not pass the Internet Radio Equality Act.
Dunkin' Donuts should not have pulled the ad featuring Rachel Ray.
Checkbook journalism is not an acceptable way to pursue news stories. Another problem with a capitalist society is that while this is not proper, it IS legally acceptable.
