Citizens should not be required by law to vote. Voting should only be done by those who make the effort to do so.

They would not hesitate for one second to do the same to us if we took out a fraudulent loan with them.

The boos for President Bush at Barack Obama's inauguration were not appropriate. Booing belongs in the ballpark, along with the beer and the hotdogs. If someone is unhappy with an elected official, they should take it out at the voting booth. Crass and immature behavior at best.

Sarah Palin had neither a positive or negative impact on John McCain's candidacy. John McCain could have had Obama for a running mate and he still would not have won that election.

The McCain campaign should make Sarah Palin more available to the media. The media being those who want to ask legitimate questions. Those who hate her and want to insult and belittle her (ie: Catty Couric) need not ask.

The government has a responsibility to keep Social Security as is for those already invested in the program. The vast majority of people over fifty in this country have lived their entire lives paying into and depending on SS to suppliment their retirement.

Venezuela's socialist reforms will have a negative effect on Latin America. Just ask the people of Georgia how well it worked out for them.
