Same-sex marriage is not a civil rights issue.

A moderate portion of the nation's poor are victims of circumstances beyond their control. In some cases, being born into poverty can keep them from rising above it. In other cases, its only a matter of using the system in place to overcome it.

Selecting in-vitro embryos based on preferred genetic traits is immoral. Kind of reminds me of Hitler and his horrific "Aryan Race".

Premarital counseling is an effective way to reduce divorce rates. It should be seriously considered by couples in all situations. First, second, etc.

The government should not ban books it deems inappropriate in public schools and libraries. That's not the governments place to do things like that in our society.

Undocumented immigrants should not be granted in-state tuition benefits. Someone who is undocumented is an illegal alien. Illegal alien's are suppose to be deported not rewarded. We have laws on the books around this whole issue. We need to start enforcing them.

Affirmative action is constitutional. Its what it took at that time to provide ALL Americans an equal place in our society. I believe that it was a successful program that needs to be phased out.

The death penalty should not be available in cases of child rape. There are too many mistakes made in this country when it comes to inept law enforcement officials arresting the wrong person or courts that railroad people without proper trials. The government should not regulate marriage.

The legal drinking age should be 21.

Rehabilitation should be the primary purpose of incarceration. After five thousand years of recorded history, we know that locking them all up and treating them all the same does not work. Rehabilitate the ones that can be saved, and keep them away from the ones that can't.

Religious leaders should speak out on political matters. One of the unique and lasting things about our great country is its freedom of religion. The people who framed the constitution took great pains to make sure that each American had the right to a voice. That includes those who have religious beliefs. H

There are no significant differences between the cognitive abilities of men and women.

Adultery should be criminalized. Like any other contract that is broken.

The people in the US have the right to freely choose and practice a religion or to have no religion at all.

Hollywood does not encourage positive role models.

There are no persuasive reasons to prohibit same-sex couples from raising children.

There are no persuasive non-religious reasons to prohibit same-sex marriage.

Civil unions should be available for same-sex couples.
