U.S. Sen. John E. Sununu yesterday hosted a home mortgage workshop, a one-stop approach to get information about credit counseling, loan programs and legal assistance into the hands of those who need it.
Sununu stressed that each borrower's situation is different, and that means solutions have to be tailored to individual needs. That's why the workshop brought together representatives of lenders, counseling groups and government agencies to provide an array of tools, he said.
"We can't turn the economy around on a dime, that's for sure," Sununu said. "But we believe a program like this can make a difference, if you put the right information in the right hands."
