The U.S. cannot meet all of its energy demands within 10 years through carbon-free sources. I doubt we could make it in 10 years, but just because we might not be able to doesn't mean we shouldn't try. Try is something we must do.
Polar bears should be listed under the Endangered Species Act. Polar Bears are considered to be threatened in their numbers. Killing them should only be done in self defense as in they managed to enter your house.
The U.S. should not allow drilling in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. (ANWR). Not only is this a temporary solution to the big problem. It is also a very costly one that we may not even reap the benefits of profit in 10-20 years. Maybe 5 if we are really lucky.
The U.S. government should provide incentives for manufacturers to build fuel-efficient cars. Anything to stop the SUVs.
