The third presidential debate moderated by Bob Schieffer ended in a draw. Senator Government, did not do as well as thought. He's dropped the ball quite a bit my friends. I think Mccain, who is not Bush scored more points here even though I don't agree with his idiology. Obama is now going to get in his Gold Plated Cadillac and
Barack Obama's association with Bill Ayers is not a legitimate concern. Bill Ayers had a lot of time to clean up and the service together was barely a glancing look. Also, if you look at the evidence, he said something else and did not mention wanting to set more bombs like the Mccain campaign seems to be claiming.
The U.S. should not deploy more troops to Iraq. No, we need to cut down and stop sending people in. It's time the Iraqi government takes control because we can't pay for this anymore and they now have all the money. It's time they fund their own protection, they have the money to do that and maybe pay
Residents of Puerto Rico should not vote in U.S. presidential elections. You can't vote unless you're a state and Puerto Rico refused to become a state so they do not have voting rights.
Barack Obama won the second 2008 presidential debate hosted by Tom Brokaw. "That one" won this, Mccain kept dodging, playing POW, he had very little power on the CNN gauge. Obama was answering people's questions, acting professional. It might be me, being wooed over him, but CNN's bizzarro scrolling graph is on my side here. "Th
Joe Biden won the 2008 vice presidential debate. Biden was stronger, more interesting and seemed a lot less like she was full of prescripted tidbits. Palin however did better than expected, we shall have to see however if her Reagan like charm would lead to a bump for Palin or if Biden's strong and care
The surge in military troops has not made progress in Iraq. Progress for what? The Iraqi government is still not handling the situation and they have even less to handle.
Obama's foreign trip will have a positive effect have on his candidacy. This has already occured and it gave him a boost in the polls when it happened.
President Bush will be a liability for John McCain in the general election. President Bush has an abysmal approval rating and to top it off he has agreed at least 90% of the time with Bush. The idea of McCain being George Bush 3 is going to scare a lot of voters and it has. Heck, I'm proof of this. I registered a week ago (And I'
Bob Barr will not have an impact on John McCain's candidacy in the general election. If anything it seems more likely that John Mccain's own campaign will have the real impact in the general election. I doubt the scant chicken feed of votes that Barr picks up will be enough to tilt this election.
Joseph Biden was a good choice for Obama's vice presidential candidate. Hillary would be an almost political pandering move and after voters saw how brutal Hillary became in her attacks, its understandable that there would be a bit of tension if she was to be a VP canidate. Kucinich is just too liberal to be electable and w
Joe Biden will not withdraw from the Democratic ticket. This is preposterous, why would he bow out now from the ticket, if he did this it would bring Obama's judgement into question and the next VP pick would be seen as a purely political move rather than a serious one.
Vice presidential candidates do influence the outcome of elections. Palin is the textbook example of this being true on both sides of the coin.
Barack Obama is qualified to be President of the United States. He's not ready to lead, but he actually has quite a bit of experience, enough to stand shoulder to some of the best presidents of our time in that regard. He's also favorable to the world at large which means we'd probably have more sway and leverage with
Sarah Palin is not qualified to be the President of the United States. She failed to take on Katie Couric and if you fail to do that then you are definately not going to be able to stare down Putin. If I were running a country I'd have to struggle to take her seriously.
The first 2008 presidential debate hosted by Jim Lehrer ended in a draw. Mccain did really gain a bit better than we thought, but Obama really held his own.
John McCain and Barack Obama should not suspend their campaigns until Congress passes a bailout plan. This is silly, and John Mccain lied about suspending his campaign. It was a political move and even worse, he managed to hurt the plan.
Google Maps does not pose a threat to national security. The maps are usually out of date and they give information that can be obtained elsewhere with ease. Besides, sensitive areas have been blotted out by Google. Don't think you can stop a terrorist by deleting google maps. The real deal is a determined foe.
The U.S. should negotiate with Iran directly. The time is now to become diplomatic with Iran before it is too late. Old addages of pens and swords come to mind.
Endorsements do influence the outcome of elections. Oprah Winfrey is a modern example and if you want another how about the KKK for Goldwater.
The American media has not presented an accurate picture of the war in Iraq. As far as the America Media has gone, it has tried to tip-toe away from this depressing issue at every turn like a chicken trying to escape a butcher.
General election debates should include third party candidates. It is important to include these parties in the debates. They are running for president too.
Ron Paul should run as a third party candidate. If only to disrupt Mccain. I'm glad he's not Mccain's VP, Obama would be doomed then.
John McCain is exploiting his POW experience. He could only be more exploitive if he showed up to the debates in a bamboo cage surrounded by rats.
The U.S. will not use military force in Iran. We most likely won't come to force.
The phrase "war on terror" should not be used. This is just another bit of meaningless drivel, besides do you really want to say we've lost the war? (Terrorists have even acquired new spawning pools because of our 'War on Terror')
President Clinton should not have been impeached. He lied about personal matters. We've failed impeached people for greater atrocities so why does Clinton get the whip but not the other people?
Barack Obama is more substantive than John McCain. Barack Obama has basically stated in every speech his stance on the issues. Mccain has failed to present himself like this and instead chooses to mud sling with balant lies and misinformation.
John McCain should be required to release his psychiatric records. It's important for the American people to know if he is of sound mind. If you are going to be running something this big, we the people have a right to know if you are mentally stable.
Sarah Palin was not a good choice for John McCain's vice presidential candidate. It is a blatant play towards gender politics. You are no longer on good ground to joke about Obama's in experience since Palin is the poser girl for Hockey Moms, not a potential VP candidate, she doesn't even know what a VP does in her own words.
Congress should not fund a troop surge in Iraq. We need to pull out, not get in deeper.
The Patriot Act is not constitutional. Do your own research and see for yourself how this invades our own privacies for absolutely no reason. I can't put it better in this little box than the hundreds of articles written on this very issue.
Presidential candidates should refuse to accept money from lobbyists. The obligation of a president should be to the people. Lobby money puts the obligation to the lobbyist, not the people.
The government that governs least does not govern best. This doesn't mean shove a camera up everyone's rectum and barcode everyone. This is the fact that without regulation things go out of control. Business has proven it needs to be regulated. The government is responsible for making drugs, food, water, trans
It is not possible for an openly non-religious candidate to win a U.S. presidential election. At this time, no. They are already making a case for Obama being the anti-christ (which is false according to their own Bible.) and then you'd get someone who there is no debating that point away. They'd have a hard sell getting the religious vote.
Puerto Rico should not become a U.S. state. What would be the purpose for Puerto Rico to become a state? Also, they have refused to join the fold so that should be enough to not make them a state.
Iraq's oil revenue should be used to finance all of the country's reconstruction. The United States cannot support Iraq. Iraq must get on its feet because if things go correctly then we are leaving.
It is not necessary to sacrifice liberty for security. We had the capabilities to stop 9/11 before all this stuff was added. This is just tightening the noose on the common citizen.
Denying or trivializing the Holocaust should not be criminalized. This is an issue of freedom of speech. It is unpopular opinion, but unpopular opinion is what should be protected. Regardless of how wrong (in this case) it is.
The U.S. should not build a fence along the Mexican border. The Fence costs too much to implement, doesn't cover the entire border and what parts do exist can be gotten through in about five minutes and are no match for tin snips.
