The New York Post's chimpanzee cartoon is racist. Yeah, I mean come on look at it. Obama is implied to be the chimp very heavily. If you don't think it was intentional then you have to admit it was inadvertent.
There should not be a blogger code of conduct. As soon as you make one, you beg for it to be broken.
The use of the Internet has affected the English language. English has been propagated further as a standard language and we've gained a few new words from it. You can google a blog post on the web about it probably if you need evidence.
Blogs are credible sources of news. Your mileage may vary of course, but a good blog could be just as valid. Especially as a compiliation of articles.
Print newspapers will become obsolete. The newspaper will most likely evolve into something that is no longer 'printed'.
The FCC should not strengthen indecency rules regarding broadcast television. We should enable the ability to control censorship more strongly at home rather than having the government tell us what we can and cannot say.
Laws allowing journalists to protect confidential sources should apply to bloggers. Blogging has proven to be in some cases, journalism so why not extend it to all journalism.
Dunkin' Donuts should not have pulled the ad featuring Rachel Ray. When I saw the picture I didn't think arab. She isn't wearing the scarf over her mouth like an arab would.
The Internet should not be regulated by one governing body. When we do this, we cause there to be a central voice saying what can and can't happen. The internet thrives on the lack of central points.
The decibel level of television commercials should be regulated. Anyone who watches TV would have to agree that the trend of setting commercials at maximum loudness and shows at minimum volume has got to be stopped. It is painful. The FCC could finally enforce something worthwhile doing this.
Bloggers should be allowed to blog anonymously. The ability to say things freely without fear of retribution is something great. We should not be afraid to state our opinion and anonymous blogging lets people state as little or as much as they want about themselves.
Internet gambling should not be banned. Gambling should not be banned period.
Advertisements can have artistic value. Most of the great figures of art did it for the money. Most of your great painters were painting for rich nobles. They did it to survive and survive they did because they were good.
The media is politically biased and generally leans to the Right. The closest thing to a liberal media is the Daily Show.
Congress should pass legislation to mandate network neutrality on the Internet. If you are on the internet you should support this. This is important for the internet to remain the way it is.
Blogs have a positive effect on politics. It gets people talking and that's a good thing, young people need to be politically active. If we all mobilized we could take on the babyboomers.
The New Yorker cover featuring Barack and Michelle Obama is not effective satire. This is going to fuel people's perceptions of Obama.
The New York Post's chimpanzee cartoon is racist. Yeah, I mean come on look at it. Obama is implied to be the chimp very heavily. If you don't think it was intentional then you have to admit it was inadvertent.
