The Kindle DX will not help reverse the newspaper industry's decline. One thing I can say as an insider is that newspapers have yet to figure out how to maintain traditional print readership while producing ad revenue from a digital product. Until the industry does, its death spiral will continue.

Public figure opinions are more interesting to read than member opinions on whereIstand.com. To me, what makes WIS so unique is its ability to serve as a searchable database of public figure opinion. Member opinions, including my own, however well-written, are less significant.

Employers should not have the right to fire workers for content posted on social networking sites. Perhaps if the content was posted during business hours on a business computer, but other than that doesn't seem to be a justification for this.
