About whereIstand.com

What is whereIstand.com?

whereIstand.com is a social network where the opinions of members, public figures, and organizations - on any issue - are presented in a structured, searchable, and comparable manner. Members can express opinions on any issue and in any topic of interest. By taking a stand, opinions are made comparable to whoever else has taken a stand on the same issue. As you build your opinion profile, whereIstand lets you easily compare to other members on common issues based on how often you agree and disagree.

About Public Figures and Organizations

Opinions of public figures and organizations aren't  necessarily submitted by a primary source. Rather, opinions are posted as evidence by other whereIstand members using information that is publicly-available on the internet. Once posted, evidence of a public figure or organization's opinon is voted on by other members to ensure reliability.

Anyone who joins whereIstand can take part in the editorial process, which includes proposing and approving issues, as well as posting and voting on evidence. To learn more about whereIstand.com's community and how this process works please go to our 'About the wIs Community' page.
