Every whereIstand member contributes to the site whenever they take a stand, but members may also participate in the editorial process, which includes proposing issues and posting public figure opinions. If you're interested in playing a role in this process please email help@whereIstand.com.

Proposing Issues:

'Issues' are questions around which all member and public figure opinions are organized. To propose an issue, find the topic most relevant to the subject of your  question and click the 'Propose An Issue' button located on the right-hand column of the topic page. Review the guidelines below before proposing an issue.

Guidelines:

• The issue should be written in the form of a question.
• The issue should be clearly worded and free from grammatical and spelling errors.
• The Issue should have at least two viable and reasonable answer options.
• The issue should be objective and not favor a particular point of view.
• The issue should not duplicate the intent of a previously proposed or approved issue.

Issue Pending Approval

After an issue is proposed whereIstand users collaborate on the issue page's discussion board and adhere to the guidelines listed above. When a consensus has been reached among users, a topic administrator will approve the issue.

Posting Evidence of an Opinion

Opinions of a public figure or organization are submitted by whereIstand users using third-party sources, such as links to news web sites, blogs, interview transcripts, or press statements. Evidence must be representative, reliably sourced and conclusive.

Voting on Evidence

Before a public figure or organization opinion can be approved as verified, other whereIstand members will review the post for accuracy and vote on whether to accept or reject it.
