Unfortunately, my opponent has been one the staunchest supporters of President Bush's failed war policies. He voted to authorize the war, and has consistently voted to give President Bush a blank check to continue the war without any kind of accountability.
It is time for the Iraqi politicians to take responsibility for their own country. After five years, hundreds of billions of American dollars, thousands of American lives, and tens of thousands of American casualties, the Iraqi government needs to start governing Iraq.
