I guess that's the difference between a banker and a broker. You see, I was a broker. And the amount of underhanded dealings I've in the mortgage business, and the amount of fraud that was going around (I'm sure you've read the paper and read about the indictments of several account exec's, appraisers, loan officers, etc.), that there is no possible way that I could ever blame the consumer.

The people taken advantage of are typically the more ignorant, less educated people. Sadly those are the people that end up with the brokers, that have absolutely no regulation or requirements (they 1099 anyone off the streets and don't give a damn as long as they make money).
