Opinions
There are no legitimate, scientific, and peer-reviewed criticisms of evolution. Sorry, but legitimacy doesn't come from mutual admiration societies - the only ones calling them legitimate are ones who agree, or who really aren't experts in the field. I am referring to creationism here, not the real scientific study that is tweaking the theory of evolution based on new archaeological finds.
The use of nuclear weapons cannot be justified. The phrase "caterers to our own demise" leaps to mind. Nuclear weapons are the perfect example of the supreme stupidity of man. Science is a wonderful thing, but not when it is unfettered. There is a point where it needs to be said: "the question is not whether or not we 'can' do something - the question is whether or not we 'should'."
The U.S. should not build more nuclear power plants.
Adult stem cells do not have the same medical potential as embryonic stem cells.
The shape of the Earth is round.
There are no legitimate, scientific, and peer-reviewed "alternatives" to evolution.
The genetic sources of the embryos should decide whether embryonic stem cells may be used for medical research.
Human cloning should be allowed.
Scientists should pursue embryonic stem cell research.
The federal government should subsidize the creation of new stem cell lines.
