Joe Mauer should win the 2009 American League MVP. Bobby Abreu? Huh? Joe Mauer all the way-it's not even close.
Bullfighting should not be banned. It is kind of inhumane, but I went to a bullfight in Barcelona that was a lot of fun. It's a huge part of their culture. I'm kind of torn, but I'll side with no.
San Diego Chargers will win the 2009 AFC West.
Pittsburgh Steelers will win the 2009 AFC North.
Seattle Seahawks will win the 2009 NFC West.
Carolina Panthers will win the 2009 NFC South.
Chicago Bears will win the 2009 NFC North.
New York Giants will win the 2009 NFC East.
Indianapolis Colts will win the 2009 AFC South.
New England Patriots will win the 2009 AFC East.
The PGA should not institute a drug-testing policy.
Plaxico Burress' jail sentence was not appropriate. I thought it was too severe. I know that gun laws are very strict in New York, but this strikes me as an example of the flaws of mandatory sentencing laws.
Larry Fitzgerald should not be the first wide receiver taken in 2009 fantasy football drafts. Fitzgerald is the safe bet, but I would probably pick Calvin Johnson.
Phil Jackson is the greatest coach in NBA history. I know he's always had big stars on his team, but the ten titles speak for themselves.
Adrian Peterson should be the first running back chosen in 2009 fantasy football drafts. For sure.
Drew Brees should be the first quarterback chosen in 2009 fantasy football drafts. It definitely seems like a safe bet based on what he did last year.
Golf should be an Olympic sport. Golf has definitely become an international sport, so I think it makes for it to become an Olympic sport
Chicago should host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
I like running as a form of exercise.
Awarding the 2008 Summer Olympics to China was not a mistake.
The NFL should allow Michael Vick to play in the 2009 season.
The entire list of 104 players who tested positive for steroids in 2003 should not be made public. These guys were told that the results would be destroyed.
Roger Federer is more dominant at tennis than Tiger Woods is at golf. Federer is more dominant (he definitely wins a higher percentage of majors), but I think Tiger's accomplishments are much more impressive (since it's harder to go 1 vs 156 as opposed to just winning seven matches). Also, Tiger will be around much longer, because of the differences between golf and tennis.
Roger Federer will win the 2009 Wimbledon Championship. I'm not a very big Federer fan. But, Nadal's tendinitis will most likely slow him down, and I don't see Murray or Djokovic getting the win.
Ryan Hall should run the 2009 New York City Marathon. The Chicago Marathon had a pretty disappointing field last year. New York has more prestige and should have a great field.
Los Angeles Lakers will win the 2009 NBA finals. This one could go either way, but I'm just not buying the Magic.
Kareem Abdul Jabbar is the NBA's greatest center of all time. Is it some kind of joke that David Robinson is on this list? Don't get me wrong, I like the Admiral, but seriously.
The overall effects of running are beneficial.
The NFL should not consider playing the Super Bowl outside of the U.S. I don't really like this idea. I don't blame Roger Goodell for considering ways to generate revenue, but I don't think it makes sense to force football fans to travel overseas to support their team. Also, haven't our NFL games in London been kind of a bust?
The NFL should have a rookie salary cap. Absolutely. This is by far the most flawed part of the NFL right now. It's crazy to me that it is often a huge disadvantage to have the first overall pick, since you end up having to pay at least $40 million guaranteed to that pick. They need to implement a system that resembles the one in the NBA.
Players are more responsible for the proliferation of steroid use in Major League Baseball.
The horse-racing industry should ban steroids.
The NBA should not change its playoff seeding format. Some would argue that the Suns got screwed this year, but I think the East and West are evening out, and I don't really think it's worth altering the system.
LeBron James should win the 2009 NBA MVP Award. Great stats on a team that will probably finish with the best record in the NBA.
The Denver Broncos benefited the most from the Jay Cutler trade. The Bears gave up a ridiculous amount to get Cutler (and I'm still not convinced that he's really all that great--not really a proven winner, etc.), so surprisingly I think the Broncos got the better end.
Boston Red Sox will win the 2009 AL East. First of all, I'm really happy that Tampa Bay is still listed as the "Devil Rays." Not that this is going out on a limb, but I think it'll come down to the Sox and Yanks again. I see the Sox making a play for someone like Miguel Cabrera (since the Tigers need to dump salary), and I also think their bullpen will help carry them.
The Denver Broncos should not trade Jay Cutler. I think the Broncos have really butchered this entire situation. I really don't think they should have been looking to trade him in the first place. Right now, I don't see how they could ever come close to getting equal value for him.
University of Pittsburgh will advance the furthest of all top seeds in the 2009 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. I haven't filled out my bracket yet, but I really don't like UConn's chances, Ty Lawson's injury concerns me, and Louisville might be a little tired after the Big East Tourney. So, as of now, I'm going with Pitt going the furthest.
Big East Conference will have the most wins in the 2009 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. With three number one seeds, they really should win the most games.
Terrell Owens will have no effect on the Buffalo Bills. The Bills were 7-9 last year, and I think they'll be about the same this upcoming year with T.O. Trent Edwards is not good, and J.P. Losman sucks, so there's no one who can really give T.O. the ball.
