'American Idol' has a positive impact on the music industry. It inspires people. That's awesome.

Quality of programming is having the greatest impact on broadcast television's ratings. I would watch TV if there was something on I actually enjoyed.

The government should not withdraw funding for art it considers offensive. What offends the government? They send innocent Americans to die on foreign soil for a lie, while allowing the market to treat workers like turds. And something OFFENDS THEM?

The concert stage is an appropriate venue to promote political views. It depends upon your music. Really though, if you are a political band with lots of recurring political themes in your music than your fans already agree with you by listening to your lyrics. It is acceptable for people to wear fur. I personally wouldn't.There are thousands of animal products out there really. To single out fur as a single atrocity is really short sighted and missing the overall picture considering the mass torture and abuse the fast food industry causes.

Cosmetic procedures have no impact on an actor's career. Only on the bad jobs.

Music piracy has a positive effect on the music industry. More music equals more exposure for growing bands. Besides, you cannot download a concert experience nor T-shirt. The record labels might get hurt, but the musician is who I care about.
