The use of nuclear weapons cannot be justified.
No way, never, never.

C'mon, Brian. You can't be so ignorant of history that you can't imagine a situation where use of nukes could be justified. Let's assume that all the best military minds of 1945 were right (rather than the Monday-morning quarterbacks blessed with 20/20 hindsight) and that the atom bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki saved over a million lives (Japanese and Allies) by forestalling the need for an invasion. You wouldn't have authorized their use in that instance? And if you would've THEN, how could you not conceive of a future instance when their use could be a net saver of lives? Could you really be so cruel as to condemn thousands to death because of your philosophic opposition to nukes?I'm not arguing for tactical use of nukes or suggesting that they be employed without acknowledging the devastating implications of their use. But saying "never, never" is naive to the extreme.
