Softball should be an Olympic sport. Softball is now widely played and highly evolved. Japan, China, Australia and other rising powers in the sport have provided some of the most exciting moments in recent Olympic history.

Student-athletes should not receive compensation. Many of them shouldn't even be taking up space in a college classroom -- especially those who have no intention of graduating.
