i agree with both clark and donovan but my gut tells me to go with donovan bc his revision is more inclusive.  i'm ashamed of myself for not considering transgender people as a separate gender.  thank you donovan for opening my eyes to that one!!!!

I think it's ok to leave out transgendered in this case. This debate is usually framed in terms of men and women. And, resourcing the HBO documentaries I've seen and the books I've read, transgendered people usually identify with a particular sex, it just happens to not be the one with which they were born. Occasionally, people do identify with a "third" sex, so...I don't know, unless we really want to convolute things, I say we leave this as is.

Only complaint I can think of is this phraseology leaves out transgendered.  How 'bout "Are different genders treated equally in the workplace?"  Gotta take care of the T in the GLBT+ community.

If that's unnecessary dickering, then by all means, let's approve it - since it is a great topic chock full of wonderful debates on both sides.

This question seems pretty good to me. Straightforward, free of bias, basically just asking a simple question. I like it.
