Heisman Watch

Graham Harrell, Texas Tech quarterback  - Upped his lead with an epic performance.

Colt McCoy, Texas quarterback - Baylor is the perfect prescription for a college football hangover.

Tim Tebow, Florida quarterback - Anyone else foresee Tebow and Harrell squaring off in Miami?

Sam Bradford, Oklahoma quarterback - His numbers would win it in most seasons.

He won't even finish in top 5 of voting.

I think we should hold off on this and address it when it's narrowed down...make it a "Who should win..." when the candidates are narrowed down. We did this for the Heisman last year and it worked out.

Pete Fiutak doesn't think so:

A: Winner of the Heisman – Graham Harrell, Texas Tech - I'll go on the limb and make the call. Tech will win the Big 12 South with Harrell averaging close to 500 yards per game.

Bruce Feldman says yes:

I’ll go with Tim Tebow. He’s already got the big name and the personality. Plus, UF will have plenty of weapons for him to work with. I doubt he’ll have the same gaudy stats, but he won’t need them as much. That said, if Beanie Wells can lead OSU to win at USC and go for over 100 yards, I think he could be tough to beat.

Pat Forde says no:

2. Tim Tebow will not repeat as the Heisman Trophy winner.

Florida will have more options at running back, which means fewer carries for its bulldozer quarterback. And fickle voters who love finding flaws will overlook them in fresher candidates.
