nick is right:  it's ready for approval, (except for one minor revision). read this to understand why "one governing body" is appropriate in this context.

    revise to:

Should the Internet be regulated BY one governing body.

I think Nick's revision is a big improvement, but it's still a little vague. Are we talking about, like, the City Council of the Internet of the UN? As in, a question of a body setting specific rules or establishing looser "standards." I wouldn't want to lump those together, or give the impression we're talking about one when we mean the other.

this is a relevant issue for many technology and media companies - as well, eventually, as for end users

We need something on Network Neutrality.  We can pin down public figures on their votes.

I'm not sure I understand what this question is asking. I can't pretend to really know anything about this subject, but as far as I know, ICANN is in charge of the basic structure of the internet (domain names, IP addresses, etc) but it doesn't really regulate the internet. Certainly not its content, anyway. And it's a private, nonprofit corporation, not any form of governing body. So when we say "regulated," what are we really talking about? Ditto for "government?"

What about a more specific approach?  It seems like there are two main options on the table.

    "Who should control the internet?
    -ICANN
    -An international treaty organization

And maybe an 'Other' choice for other ideas?
