This one is ready to go, in my opinion... especially with recent discussion surrouding a potential attack on Iran by Israel... if Iran retaliates, the U.S. could intervene with military force itself... another way for W to open a new chapter in his war mongering biography. I mean, that is what the W stands for, right? Oh... it's not? My bad.

I don't know how. My bad.
I've had a month to sleep on this and my outlook is different, so I think this is a good issue now
Gethro, how are you completely ignoring the first part of her quote???
"I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran (if it attacks Israel)."
She clearly answers this question... "we will attack Iran..."
that's taken out of context, JZipp. She said we "would be able to totally obliterate them." Very different wording.
Anyway, that quote from Harry Reid doesn't really address the question at all. Is anyone else expressing their opinion on this?

If people are taking sides about this, then sure. But it seems that some criticism of Clinton's statement was more about her language ("totally obliterate"), than about intervention.

Harry Reid:
Well, I am certainly doing my best not to take sides in this presidential thing. But I think that flexing our muscles, threatening people, threatening countries, is not the American way. We have -- as President Roosevelt, Theodore Roosevelt said, "speak softly, carry a big stick." Words to that effect. And that's what I think we should do. Speak softly, make sure that people know that we can react if we have to, but let's not go around threatening people.
HRC would "totally obliterate" Iran in the case of an attack against Israel:
The Democratic hopefuls also discussed Clinton's previous statements on Iran. On April 22, in an ABC interview, Clinton said, "I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran (if it attacks Israel). In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them."
