I think it's pretty important.  I view this as one of those genies that once it's out of the bag, it may become uncontrollable.  Scary idea really, especially after seeing the matrix...

I mean, NATURAL or ORGANIC intelligence has long been a danger to humanity, on a localised level, and has been a planetary level for over fifty years. Will Aritificial Intelligence? Who makes AI? We do. Do the math.

There's nothing technically wrong with this question. I think it's kind of fun, and it does have a certain perennial pop-culture relevance. It's just a matter of how seriously this site is going to take itself.

The question seems ok, but not necessarily relevant at this point in the millenium. But yeah, if people want to talk about it I have no problem passing this through.

This is about as speculative as it gets. But it's OK by me if people want to argue over it.
