I agree with the nitpicker. No hyphen.

How'd that hyphen get in there?
Okay, let's approve! Wait, should we add a hyphen in between regular and season? I'd like to feature this before Sunday if possible.
Pete Prisco of CBSSportsline isn't ready to annoint them:
"I think they can go undefeated," the voice said. It didn't stop there. The Patriots hyperbole is out of control. They are being called the greatest team ever. They are being called unstoppable, the team that should have those 1972 Miami Dolphins worried they won't get to pop their champagne this year. One network talking head, a former player, said the Patriots might be the best team he has ever seen. Slow down, guys. But can we hold off on all the undefeated season talk and how they might be the best team ever. Last time I checked there are no rings awarded in October.
If there's evidence, go for it.
Bunch of cheaters. Cheaters never win but in sports they usually do.

Good topic. It's awful difficult to do. '72 Dolphins only had 14 regular season games when they went undefeated. And if Bill Simmons wrote about things other than Boston teams, I might like him more.
Charles Pierce of Slate.com Sub headline reads as this:
Why the enraged Patriots will go undefeated.
Simmons has a massive erection for his team:
Barring injuries, it's going to be an enormous, enormous deal if somebody beats New England this season. That's the sign of a truly great team, regardless of the sport. During my sophomore year in college, I remember watching the '89 Niners and thinking, "There's no way in hell they can be beaten. You'd need about 35 things to happen." As it turned out, they outscored their opponents by a 442-253 margin in the regular season, lost two games by a total of five points and rolled through their three playoff opponents by the unfathomable score of 126-26. Yeah, the '92 Cowboys were great; so were the '94 Niners and the '98 Broncos. But the '89 Niners were on a different level, and we haven't seen anything like it since. Now we're seeing it again.
Well, they're 6-0 right now and they're pretty damn good. its already being talked about because they beat up on their first test of the season (dallas Cowboys) yesterday. Chris (Mad Dog) Russo thinks they will but Mike Francesa thinks its just too hard. I'll do some more research, but I think that the more they win, the better an issue this will be.
