Robert Reich: Obama will be the next President
There will be no evidence for Barr and Nader. I don't think they are reasonable positions, so I think we should stick with Obama and McCain.

Getting closer...
JZipp raises a good point, though. Do we put Nader and Barr in? Gravel? Where do we draw the line?
I think just McCain and Obama (knock on wood) is neatest. (In the "tidy" sense, not the "peachy keen" sense.)
I agree with "Mr. Bias, Clearly"... we have to hold off cause it'll be odd to have 2 Democrats on here. Oh and... what about Ralph Nader????
OK... (Hope you're right!)
I think we should wait. I personally believe Hillary will be out after North Carolina. I'd rather not have Hillary as a stand all the way through to November.
I think it's time to go with this one. Narrow it down to just Hillary, Obama, and McCain, then approve. I don't think we have to worry about waiting until the Dem nomination has been decided. I'm seeing more and more evidence on this (recently approved evidence from Emanuel Cleaver, for example).
This doesn't work because it's too many choices and the deadline runs right up to the day before the general election. If we narrow the choices down the top tier candidates it's better, but here's the problem... After the primaries when the race is narrowed down to two this issue will look pretty silly. So, this has to wait till after the primaries.
You think this one's ready yet? Fred Thompson and Michael Bloomberg should probably be on there, too... maybe Al Gore.
Vilsack's out...
I would wait till we get closer to the first debate, which is April 4th. I think this list right now is only the bigger candidates and all are basically going to far enough into the campaign cycle to keep them. Except for maybe Huckabee who has said he's still exploring. We have to wait, because what if Gore and Gingrich get in the race.

Seriously though, isn't Kucinich running? The problem with this issue is that it's going to become obsolete almost immediately. People are going to join in and drop out all over the place. That said, it is kind of fun. I can't think of anyone else we're missing, outside of The Kuch (funny story, I was at a Dave Eggers reading one time and he said his friend volunteered for John Edwards and swears that was what Edwards called him).
we need to add the rest of the candidates i think and then it's ready.
Wow! Thorough! Still no Kucinich though! :-) I like how you've structured it, alternating D/R and with (current) frontrunners nearest to the top.
Hey, good idea! I do think there's some danger of someone coming completely out of left field, none of the known quantities, in the time between now and the 2008 elections. And it could get LONG. Other ones I'd add from who you have there already are Bill Richardson, Tom Vilsack, and Wesley Clark. Oh, you refer to that ("Let's add all the candidates..."). How long can it get? Not sure what the WIS limits are, technically and stylistically. Kucinich is a pussycat, don't be scared of him. ;-)
Sorry, I'll stop there. C'mon, this is fun. Place your bets! Let's add all the candidates though...except Kucinich...he frightens me.
