I think this is fair.  We will get people on both sides of this.  We should put it up.

    issue revision:

    revising stands or "positions" ...
    Is war ever justified?
Never. There is always another way.
Yes, but only when we are attacked first, and only against the attackers.
Yes, when we are attacked. We should fight our attackers and their allies.
Yes, when our national security is threatened. We shouldn't wait to be attacked.
Yes, if congress and the president agree on it.
Not sure. War is too complex to generalize.

i'd like to see this as a "yes" or "no" issue.  i think it's difficult to pin people down to specific reasons.  they "why" someone's opinion or "stand" is in the affirmative or negative can come out in their blogs, or in the case of a public figure - in the evidence posted.

i do like the issue itself.

I'm cool with this issue if we go "Yes" "No"

    12/18/2006 3:16:47 PM

i say we keep the issues down to "yes" or "no" since it's difficult to fit into the "yes, because" positions or the "no, and this is why" positions.  generally, we try to stick to yes or no stands on the site.

    otherwise, i like this issue.
