Biden:

This — Iran is not a nuclear threat to the United States of America.
I like that phrasing.

"Does Iran pose a nuclear threat to the United States of America?"

Mike Gravel on this, from yesterday's NPR debate:

MR. MIKE GRAVEL: Iran's not a problem, never has been, never will be.

Should we make it more specifically about nuclear weapons?

The main thing going on now is that there was a report saying that Iran isn't actually close to making nuclear weapons, and Bush is saying "but they're bad!  they're very bad!  they're gonna make nukes I'm tellin' ya" (paraphrase).

Oh yeah, it's an issue.  There are people who are saying no, right?

Okay.  Things have changed, now it's on Iran, although now I'm reading Syria may have bought nuclear material from North Korea.  Yikes!

I agree with Esperanto.  I think we'd have a better shot at this under North Korea than Iran.  Although, I don't like debating whether they are a significant threat.

My main concern is that it's kind of a no-brainer as far as public figure evidence is concerned, I would guess. Not exactly a hotly contested debate.
