Here's an interesting quote that applies...

Asked directly by Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) whether Iraq was central to the war on terror, Baker said "it may not have been when we first went in," even though he felt "it certainly is now."

I'm not quite sure what this is asking.  Bush has made Iraq the US's primary concern until the US can extract itself.

It is questionable if Iraq can be logically linked to the greater "war on terror" at all.

I also think this would belong more in the War on terror subtopic.
